Kauai- an epilogue- Ocean Plastic

We have all heard about the Great Plastic Patch (https://theoceancleanup.com/great-pacific-garbage-patch/?gclid=Cj0KCQjwn_LrBRD4ARIsAFEQFKt6zJCZ-vDeqAxHDW82t5aBi1afURYobPcRMB7oQ5e4-CdFEJ2mNQkaAqzfEALw_wcB), the area the size of Texas of floating plastic in the pacific.  Horrible that this amount of small plastic bits is floating around, washing up on shores across the Pacific Ocean.  Never thought I would experience it.  But on the pristine beaches of Kauai- there it was:-(.  The high tide mark at our hotel- bits of plastic, small plastic items, strewn across the beach:-(.  Please support every effort to clean the ocean, recycle, support clean up efforts.  If it shows up in Kauai, what it must be like everywhere else:-(.
